Pinkie and the Brain is a sole-trader business operated by Dylan Coppard from 2 Glenmoor, L'Amont De La Ville Bagot, St. Ouen, Jersey JE3 2DF. This Privacy Notice explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit pinkieandthebrain.com or get in touch through the contact form.

Who controls your data

Dylan Glen Coppard, trading as Pinkie and the Brain, is the data controller for any personal information collected through this site. You can contact me at dylan@angelgabriel.co.za. I am in the process of registering with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.

What I collect

When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, your email address, and the contents of your message.

When you visit the site, the hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance monitoring.

I do not use analytics cookies or third-party tracking on this site at present.

Why I collect it

Your contact details and message are collected so I can respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is legitimate interest — you've reached out asking for a response. I do not use your contact information for marketing without your explicit consent.

Server logs are retained for security and performance purposes (legitimate interest).

Who I share it with

I use SendGrid (Twilio Inc.) to deliver email notifications of contact-form submissions. SendGrid is a US-based email service provider acting as a data processor. International transfers of your personal data are governed by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) published in Twilio's Data Processing Addendum. Your contact-form message is transmitted to me via SendGrid's servers.

I do not sell or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long I keep it

• Contact-form messages: retained for up to 3 years from your last contact with me, unless you request earlier deletion.
• Server logs: retained for up to 30 days by Vercel.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data I hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to my processing of your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner
